In West Hollywood Couples Therapy Clinic we utilize a powerful combination of strength-based approaches that propel our clients toward their goals and create rapid, dramatic changes in their lives. All of our clients, including Gay men and same-sex couples, can expect to see profound results in just a matter of few months. Our structured and tested methodology helps our clients achieve profound and lasting results. Many of our clients report great satisfaction following the completion of the work. What is Neuro-Linguistics (NLP)?

NLP is a methodology of using language and imagery to access deeper layers of our Mind and create profound desirable changes in our Unconscious. Both NLP and hypnotherapy work on or Unconscious (or subconscious) Mind, however, NLP does not require deep trance. The majority of our “baggage," aka - unresolved negative emotions and limiting beliefs, is stored outside of our conscious awareness. NLP provides us with a key to easily access the deeper layers of our psyche to let go of the old unresolved negative emotions and substitute limiting beliefs for empowering ones. The inner changes produced in this work are reflected in the dramatic changes in our life experiences. Putting it simply - we get our results.

Who are the clients of West Hollywood Couples Clinic?

However, over the years our clientele has expanded to include straight couples, poly-relationships, as well as ethnically and racially diverse couples. We welcome all clients who are eager to benefit from our powerful process and ready to experience profound changes in their lives. We welcome individuals and couples of all configurations, sexual orientations, genders, ethnicities, races, and preferences.

How does therapy work?

In West Hollywood Couples Clinic we developed a unique therapeutic approach built of 3 Power-Steps (ARC) to create rapid and profound transformation in the lives of our clients:

Awareness – The first Power-Step is an evaluation that is geared toward gaining awareness and insight into the current situation that brought you in. Here our goal is to understand past and present patterns and to determine the root cause(s) of current challenges. It is during this step that we also clearly define the ultimate goal for our work together, as well as the evidence procedure which will show us that our work has been a total success. The Awareness Power-Step is a crucial step that identifies both the problem and the solution.

Release – The second Power-Step of psychotherapy and couples counseling utilizes neurolinguistics (NLP) to help clients let go of the baggage and clear the path toward obtaining their personal goals and desires. Here we release anger, sadness, fear, guilt, and hurt, thereby liberating ourselves to live life from a positive perspective. We further let go of past limiting decisions, and old beliefs that no longer serve us. Our values are elicited, explored, reviewed and aligned to match our desired outcome.

Co-Creating – The third and final Power-Step is designed to provide new tools and resources to solidify the gains and establish the trajectory toward one's dreams. During this step, we create a solid, sound, and clear vision of your ideal life, and transform your internal unconscious perspectives to enable the new desired reality to emerge.

How fast will I see the results?

On average our individual therapy clients will see significant results after the first 6-8 weeks of work, while for couples therapy clients the estimate is 10-12 weeks.

How long does therapy take?

Individual therapy takes on average 10-15 hours of work, while couples therapy on average requires 16 - 24 hours.

Does WeHo Couples Therapy Clinic accept insurance?

West Hollywood Couples Therapy Clinic is a fee-for-service clinic. The fee is paid at the time of service and is the responsibility of our clients. Our services may be covered in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. Although we do not accept insurance in the clinic, we will provide you with all the necessary documentation for you to bill your carrier directly. For more information please contact your insurance carrier, and inquire about the reimbursement rate for mental health services provided by out-of-network providers.

What about medication vs. psychotherapy?

It is well established that the long-term solution to mental and emotional problems and the pain they cause cannot be solved solely by medication. Instead of just treating the symptom, therapy addresses the cause of our distress and the behavior patterns that curb our progress. You can best achieve sustainable growth and a greater sense of well-being with an integrative approach to wellness.  Working with your medical doctor you can determine what's best for you, and in some cases, a combination of medication and therapy is the right course of action.

Does what we talk about in therapy remain confidential?

Everything discussed in our sessions will remain confidential. Confidentiality is one of the key components assuring the safety of the client and trust within the therapeutic relationship between us. Only you can authorize the disclosure of your clinical information to a third party such as a family member, physician, psychiatrist, lawyer, etc. There are several conditions under which the confidentiality will no longer apply and part of the confidential information will be disclosed to assure your own and public safety. These conditions are called "the limits of confidentiality" and are defined by law. State law and professional ethics require therapists to maintain confidentiality except for the following situations:

- Suspected past or present abuse or neglect of children and elders: if this information is disclosed in therapy, the therapist is obligated to report it to the authorities, including Child Protection Services and Law Enforcement.

- If the therapist has reason to suspect the client is seriously in danger of harming themselves or has threatened to harm another person steps will be taken to assure the personal safety of the client as well as public safety.
